As always, Nick goes 110% to achieve the requirements. I was in desperate need to speed up my laptop, as it was running very slowly – almost to the point it was becoming unusable. I can now use my computer without the previous frustration levels I was experiencing.

 

It boots up within seconds, whereas before it could take up to 10 minutes to load and be ready for use! Nick made sure that the computer was linked to my Wi-Fi & my printer before he finished the full hand over. He also answered any questions I had about the laptop and it’s running – e.g. downloading images from the iCloud to the computer.

I want to thank you, Nick, for saving my sanity last week. Ever since mid-March, when I bought a new laptop, it’s been non-functional more often that it’s been working, making my life a misery. The manufacturer’s helpline (very difficult to access) failed to solve my problems. A friend gave me your phone number. With no fuss:

  • You used Team Viewer to diagnose the problem as a faulty hard disk

  • I brought the machine to you and you lent me a replacement whilst you successfully persuaded the manufacturer to refund the full purchase price

  • You advised me on what computer to buy instead

  • As I wanted a new printer, you recommended a replacement for that too

  • You remotely logged into my computer and installed the new printer within minutes

As a result, I now have a fully functioning system, with which I’m delighted.

I want to say after just two lessons with Nick I have learnt more about how to use my laptop than I have in all the years I’ve been struggling to use computers for work and for my own use! My confidence has grown immensely and I now realise (to use Nick’s own words) it’s only a machine and it won’t get the better of me!!

 

The first lesson held so many revelations for me: I found keys on my laptop that I had never noticed before - let alone pressed! One key in particular was transformational in terms of my knowledge – I have spent hours in the past trying to download my photos off the Cloud and in one click of a key they were all downloaded! Lesson two was more challenging for me but Nick has great patience and never makes me feel daft about asking questions or asking him to repeat anything that he covers. The way he explains things is very visual, which helps me to understand the IT terminology and what is involved in saving and organising my files and documents on the laptop.

I am amazed to say that I am enjoying learning about computers that have held a mystique for me for so long. It’s great to be finally unlocking that – I feel really empowered. Thank you Nick!!

Before giving my laptop to Nick, my 4 year old Acer laptop was running excruciatingly slow, to the extent that I had stopped using it for normal day to day activities. Nick has done the most fantastic job of upgrading the hard drive and memory on the laptop and that has given it a new lease of life. I couldn’t be happier with the speed and functionality of my laptop now and I genuinely thought it was doomed before Nick sorted it out. If you have any issue with your laptop, Nick is your man!

I have known Nick personally for 16 years. In that time he has quite often helped me out with PC problems, and I have known him to do the same for many friends and family. In August last year, when I was suddenly and rapidly involved in politics again and needed my PC systems in good order quickly, I asked Nick to help. At the time he was thinking about becoming self-employed, offering the service that he now is providing. I encouraged him to do so and became his very first paying customer, and have subsequently recommended him to many other people.
He did a deep clean of my desktop, getting rid of clutter and malware, set up a better anti-virus and back-up regime.  We did the same for my laptop. Subsequently he fitted more memory and a solid state disk-drive (SSD) to the desktop which sped the machine up considerably.  It now starts up and shuts down very quickly and it's lightening quick to load programs as I open them. He also recommended and setup a new printer for me. When I needed a laptop in a hurry for an urgent presentation when mine had a broken switch, he kindly lent me one of his until a replacement was obtained.
I find that he is conscientious, very willing and able to find answers to things he doesn't already know.  He does a good job at an affordable price.
